Clarifications: the following is one of the most recent findings in terms of Venezuelan paleontology. Current research is subject to change. But they are solidly founded by international and national paleontologists.

Discovered in a Cementos Andinos Quarry C.A. quarry. by a team of international experts, including paleontologist Jorge D. Carillo Briceño. It was a type of pliosaurid marine reptile, which lived in the Cretaceous period near what is now the city of Valera, Trujillo state.

The Fossil is mainly composed of part of the animal's dental crown and certain elements comparable to that of the pliosaurid Sachicasaurus from Colombia; with whom he believes he is related. Even so, it is currently classified as: Pliosario sp (its genus is known as pliosaur, but not its exact species).

It was a predatory marine reptile whose comparative anatomy estimates approximate dimensions of 10 meters long, very similar to the better known Liopleurodon and Kronosaurus.

It probably lived alone and used its large jaws to hunt Elasmosaurs, among other large Cretaceous reptiles and fish.
